PIGS GET MARRIED

Hoover “The Wonder Pig” married the love of his life Holly-Honey “The Sexy Sow” on 13th of July 2002.

They made history, as they are known to be the first pigs ever to marry in front of 100 invited guest and was televised all around Australia.

It was a formal wedding, The Bride wore a designer dress and the Groom wore a tux (their outfits were made by my mum) There was a huge white marquee filled with coloured helium “just married” balloons and decorated with pig posters and pictures. A beautifully bridal arch was decorated with red roses. There was animal shaped confetti and plenty of food, (pork was not on the menu). There was a custom made pig wedding cake, lots of entertainment including a country music singer, belly danger, baton twirler, classical guitarist and fire works)

My Goats, Bill and Lucy were in the bridal party and dressed in matching tutus.

The table was filling up fast with “Wedding Gifts” for the Bride & Groom (but what on earth do you get pigs for a wedding present?)

Here are some of the presents they received....

Matching feeding buckets – with their names on them
Wedding photo albums
An engraved wedding video case
A 40kg bag of pig feed
A beautifully wrapped basked with fruit & vegies
A $20 gift voucher to spend at the local fruit shop, a $20 gift voucher to spend at the local stock feeds
Bottles of Champaigne
Flowers
More bags of pig feed, grains & pellets
A hamper of goodies, (lollies, biscuits, snacks etc...)
Make up (for the bride)
Pig photo frames
Pig note pads
And lots of “Pig” Wedding Cards
Even a packet of condoms and chocolates for the big night!!
Holly-Honey also had a “Hens” or a “Sows Night” with a few close girlfriends attending the wacky party. We all had some “Butterscotch Snaps and Baileys in little Shot Glasses. Even Holly-Honey drank a few.
Hoover went down to the local Pub (hotel) for a few beers, with his mates, but got a bit drunk the little bugger. We couldn't get him out of the pub.

The Ceremony went something like this…

Dearly Be-Hoofed,
We are gathered here today in Holy Bacon-mony,
To witness the Wedding of Holly-Honey (The Sexy Sow) & Hoover (The Wonder Pig)
This is a Pignacious Occasion…
By The Powers Bestowed by the Goats, Cows, Sheep, Donkeys, Emus, Geese, Ducks, Chooks, Dogs, Cats & Turtles etc..
I now pronounce you… MR and MRS FILTHY SWINE
Let the Celebrations Begin

Sadly Hoover died 4 months later, after being overdosed with anaesthetic while having his tusks trimmed.
